HELP NEEDED FROM ANYONE AVAILABLE!!!!
Orchard View Swim Club is hosting A-Championship Meet in which 4 other teams besides ourselves descend on our club for two days of diving and swimming competition. Our swim team has approximately 75 members, 43 families - a small club compared to others. Now take that times 5 and you get the picture with amount of competitors, coaches and families we are hosting!!!!! We will begin set up THURSDAY, JULY 29TH in the evening with set up of the port-a-potties, parking lot and tents. We will continue setup beginning at 9:30AM on Friday, July 30th for anyone that can help us setup more tents, corridor off designated team areas and in general get the grounds ready for this event. (Man-power needed!!!) Mrs. Andreus, Swim Team Coordinator, has drawn up specs for grounds layout and will guide us through setup. Our Pool Manager is certainly going to be available as well, to ensure safety and that the flow of manpower is efficient.
This event happens once every five years and is vital to the success not only of our swimming & diving team, but our pool as well. We need to put our "best foot forward" this summer!!! We appreciate any help we can get.
Donations needed as well!!!
As stated above, the schedule of events begins with the diving warm-ups begin at 1:00pm on Friday, with competition beginning at 5:30pm. Swimming competition warm-ups begin at 7:00AM on Saturday, with meet beginning at 8:00AM sharp. We are in need of a few donation as well. The items needed for donation are: stakes-3-4' in length, folding tables, folding metal chairs or patio chairs, popup shade tents, coolers, and outdoor benches (picnic table benches that are not attached to a table). The drop-off area will be in the grove area of the grounds beginning Thursday, July 29th. If you do donate anything for use during this event, please be sure to label it with your name. Tear down will be on Saturday, July 31st after the swimming competition is over. Donated items will be placed back in the grove area for pickup.
Please consider helping out with this event; whether it be BEFORE, DURING or AFTER (teardown on Saturday)!!! We need YOUR SUPPORT!
